Our Mission

To effect real change in the lives of children and youth age 6 months to 19 by providing opportunities for participation in education, training, and activites which will empower children and youth to live continually victorious Christian lives.

Goals

The Bible Way Church of Atlas Road's Office of Youth Development's primary goals are:

  • To connect with children and youth by providing their family with a welcome and introductory packet from the Office of Youth Development
  • To provide opportunities for children and youth to discover and present their talents and skills with confidence
  • To plan and conduct supervised activites and trainings that will provide opportunities to enhance or create spiritual, personal, social, and recreational development
  • To provide opportunities for children and youth to participate in community service projects as well as outreach and evangelism efforts
  • To provide opportunities for parental involvement through parent education, training, volunteerism, and information sharing

Activities

The Office of Youth Development equips children and youth to live Christian lives. Some of our events include:

    • Quarterly Projects

    • Club "J", New Member Activities, Trips

    • College/Career Fair, P.A.C.T. Enrichment, S.A.T. Preparation, and Honor Roll Recognition
  • Parental Involvement
    • Mother/Daughter Empowerment Day, Father/Son Empowerment Luncheon, Parent Appreciation Dinner, and Volunteer Opportunities

Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts
These ministries provide activities designed to build self-confidence, teach life skills, develop leadership potential, and provide opportunities for community service.

Children's Ministry
The Children's Ministry is structured to provide innovative and exciting biblical teachings for children ages 6 months to 11 years old that will empower children to not only be a hearer but also a doer of the Word.

Scholarship Ministry
This ministry provides financial assistance to high school students for post-secondary education, and assists students and parents in identifying sources of financial aid.

Generation NOW
Generation NOW develops young men ages 9-19 to reflect the teachings and love of Jesus Christ.

Leader: Ira White

Visionaries Ministry
This ministry is designed to help young women ages 9-19 appreciate their unique personalities by encouraging them to establish a strong foundation for growth through the love of God's Word.

Leaders: Tanshé Caldwell and Ronda Hunter

Youth Ministry
The goal of this ministry is to empower youth ages 13-19 by providing opportunities for participation in education, training, and activities which encourage youth to continually live victorious Christian lives.
